TalissaDecor Ceiling Tiles Installation Instructions (for T-bar ceilings)
This short video clip shows installation of Glue up PVC tiles in to the grids :
• To install the glue up ceiling tiles in to the T-bar system or suspended grids, first install base ceiling tiles made out of Plywood, MDF, Block board or regular ceiling tiles etc.
• It is a good idea to paint the grid before installing faux tin ceilig tiles. You can use spray cans, spray gun or foam roller. You can keep the base tiles in while painting the grid.
Select the paint to compliment the tiles finish - for example, when installing Antique Copper tiles you may want to paint the grids in plain Copper or Antique Copper color.
• The easiest way to install is to use existing old drop tiles as a support and just simply resurface them using our glue up faux tin ceiling tiles.
• Just glue our tiles one by one to the base ceiling tiles and place them in to the grids. If needed trim the edges of PVC tiles to make them fit the grid size.
• If your existing drop tiles are 24” X 48” you have two options :
1. Glue two Faux Tin tiles on each 24” X 48 tile side by side over lapping the edges of the tiles in the middle.
2. Convert the 24" x 48" grid system in 24" x 24" type . Divide the 24” X 48” openings in half with 24” cross tees. Cut the old drop tiles in half to make two 24” X 24” tiles. Glue on 24"x24" plastic glue up tiles to those halves one by one. Install resurfaced ceiling tiles in to the grids.
