How to install drop in T-bar faux tin ceiling tiles
|
TalissaDecor Ceiling Tiles Installation Instructions (for T-bar ceilings)
• To install the tiles on the T-bar system or suspending grids, first create a false ceiling structure on the T-bar system using Plywood, MDF, Block board etc. • It is a good idea to paint the grids before installing PVC tiles with spray gun or foam roller to match the tiles finish (for example, when installing Antique Copper tiles you may paint the grids in plain Copper color). • The easiest way is to use old drop tiles as a support for our PVC tiles. • Then simply glue our tiles one by one to the “false” ceiling tiles and place them to the grids (if needed trim the edges of PVC tiles to make them fit into the grids). • If your existing drop tiles are 24”X48” you have two options : 1. To glue two PVC tiles on each 24”X48 tile 2. To divide the 24”X48” openings in half with 24” T-bar picks and cut the old drop tiles to make two 24”X24” tiles and then to glue PVC tiles to those halves one by one.
