POLYSTYRENE CEILING TILES INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Our Polystyrene Tiles can be installed over popcorn ceilings or any flat solid surface

Required Tools:

Sharp utility knife, caulk gun for adhesive, adhesive (like Styro Pro or Acryl Pro), straight edge to make nice cuts.

  1. Prepare the surface: Remove loose plaster, paint, wallpaper etc. Snap a chalk line in the middle of the ceiling (preferably through light fixture electrical box if you have one)

 

2. Apply the adhesive (we recommend Styro Pro or similar) to the back of the tile. It is important to apply the adhesive along the edges leaving space for glue to spread (approximately ¼” space from the very edge of the tile)

 

3. Install the first tile as on the picture (so the corner of the tile will cover one quarter of the light box). Cut off the part of the tile that overlaps the light box.

 

4. Install the first row along the chalk line. Butt join the tiles (do not overlap).

 

5. Work your way to the sides. Install first the whole tiles, do the cutting at the end. The tiles could be cut with utility knife or with scissors.
