Recently Completed Project Using This Tile

Take a look at this tile in action! These RM64 Ceiling Tiles were recently purchased by a customer to cover an old popcorn ceiling. They installed the tiles themselves in only four hours, and they did it themselves! It’s as simple as that. In this case, the tiles were simply glued over popcorn ceilings without being painted. No silicone or other fillers were used to cover the joints. No extras are required to install these tiles, they are simple to install as they are.

We were delighted with the results of this project, and our customer is enjoying the appearance of the new ceilings – no more outdated popcorn ceilings!

RM64 Polystyrene Ceiling Tile.

Our polystyrene ceiling tiles are as lightweight as they come – even lighter than our PVC tiles. This means that they are easy to install and there is no need to hire a contractor. Our polystyrene ceiling tiles are suited for glue-up installation only and can be applied directly over your current ceiling. Moreover, they are ideal for concealing old damage or popcorn ceilings.

For the installation, you will need a few supplies including adhesive, a caulk gun, and a tool for trimming the tiles to size when necessary.

All of our Styrofoam ceiling tiles arrive unpainted and unfinished. They can be left as they are or, if preferred, they can be painted to match the color scheme of the room.

Not only do these tiles add style to a room, but they also add insulation. The room will be cooler in summer and retain heat better in winter which is great for your energy bills!

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

We recommend ordering additional tiles to allow for waste and to ensure that you have enough to cover your whole ceiling. For regularly shaped ceilings, we suggest 10% extra. For those with an irregular shape, we suggest 15% – 20% extra. If you are not certain how many tiles to order, our professional team is always happy to advise.

Installation:
All of our polystyrene ceiling tiles are designed for glue up installation only. Before you begin installation, it's best to make sure that you have a few supplies such as a foam roller, glue adhesive, and a cutting tool. For more detailed instructions, visit our installation page. After the installation is complete, there is no need for any other treatments.

Tile Care:
These tiles do not require any regular maintenance. They can be cleaned using a cloth, water, and mild soap if necessary. Harsh chemicals and abrasives will result in damage to the tiles and should not be used.
These tiles are to be used indoors only and on closed patios. Exposure to the elements, like sunlight, will result in damage.
