Newington Temple has officially reopened its doors after an 8-week refurbishment, lovingly restored to its Victorian glory by Liverpool-based Ma Pub Group. As part of the transformation, our ceiling tiles in the “Patina Copper” finish were installed, adding a striking yet authentic detail that blends seamlessly with the pub’s historic charm. The period State Room Green ceiling colour was carefully matched to the original shade revealed when the modern dropped ceiling was removed, creating a cohesive look that highlights both old and new elements of the design.

Alongside the stunning ceiling, the pub now showcases original pieces discovered in storage — some dating back over a hundred years — including the original pub telephone, rehung as a nostalgic decorative feature. Together, these details create an atmosphere that feels both timeless and welcoming. The Patina Copper tiles play a key role in tying everything together, reflecting the character of the past while giving guests an elevated, memorable setting to enjoy!
