Ceiling Tiles

RM30 Polystyrene Ceiling Tile.

Our polystyrene ceiling tiles are even lighter than those made from PVC. This means that they are perfect for transforming a room without any serious commitments. The fact that they are so lightweight also means that they are easy to install and there is no need to spend money on a contractor. You will need adhesive, a caulk gun, and a tool for cutting the tiles to size as and when needed.

These tiles can be installed directly over your current ceiling. They are perfect for concealing that old popcorn ceiling or even ceiling damage. All of our polystyrene tiles are delivered unfinished and unpainted which means that they can be painted any color you like. You could even leave them as they are if you prefer.

These tiles add both style and an extra layer of insulation. This means that the room will be warmer in winter and cooler in summer which is always great news when it comes to your electric bill.

We also recommend planning the edges of your ceiling. You can leave the raw edges as they are or add crown moldings.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:

When placing your ceiling tile order, we recommend adding 10% for regularly shaped ceilings or 15% – 20% extra for ceilings with an irregular shape. This ensures that you have enough tiles to cover your ceiling and it allows for waste and offcuts. If you need help calculating the number of tiles needed, our team will gladly assist.

If you finish your tiles in a different color from that of your ceiling, we suggest applying sealant under the edges to give your ceiling that perfect finishing touch and to fill any gaps.

Installation:
Our Styrofoam tiles at Talissa Décor are suited for glue up installation only. Since they are lightweight, there is no need for any previous experience. For the installation, you will need a sharp cutting tool, glue adhesive, and a foam roller. For more details on how to install these tiles, visit our instructions page. After these tiles are installed, there is no need for any further treatments.

Tile Care:
These tiles do not require special care. If you would like to clean them, we recommend using water and a cloth. Mild soap can also be used if necessary. Harsh chemicals and abrasives should not be used since it will result in the distortion and deterioration of the tiles.
These tiles are suited for indoor use only and can be used on closed patios. Use outdoors, and sunlight exposure will damage the tiles.
